Last week I shared
on Instagram stories sources that can freshen up your living room. I believe these items will help freshen up your space and give it a whole new look. Again the 5 items that will freshen up your space are a ....
+RUG
+PLANT
+PILLOW
+LIGHT
1. RUG
If you choose one item from this list - I'd go with a rug. A new rug will give you new colors or textures bringing in that cozy vibe to your living space. Most living rooms require an 8 x 10 or 9 x 12 rug for your living room furniture to be placed on.
The rug alone will transform your space!

2. PLANTS
Next, add a plant to your living space. Plants give off oxygen, which cleans your air and adds color to your living room. A plant can be used as decor to fill in a corner or dead space in your living room. I like to put my plants next to a media console, by a window or my favorite chair. Then, put your plant in a basket with a liner or a trendy planter.
Best places to buy live plants IKEA, Amazon, Home Depot or Lowes
and faux plants IKEA, World Market or Target
Here are some of my favorite plants!
The easiest plant to add in your living room is a snake plant. You can easily find these year round at Home Depot or Lowes.

3. PILLOWS
I love to change up our pillows for each season. This is way to give your couch or loveseat a new look. Check out H&M, Target, World Market, IKEA for some affordable options. I recently grabbed one from my favorite small shop the Kaekoo Shop.

4. LIGHTING
I like to add a floor lamp or plug in sconce to a living space. You can put a floor lamp or sconce on either side of your couch or create a corner nook with your favorite chair.
Here are a few lights I've been eyeing lately....

5. ACCENT CHAIR
Ok this is the fun one + add an accent chair to your living room to most definitely freshen up your space!
If you have a neutral couch opt for a leather, patterned or textured chair.
Then vice versa..
If you have a leather sofa pair it with a neutral chair.
